Andalus Packer App

A dedicated warehouse operations Android application on Google Play for barcode scanning, order packing verification, and fulfillment management.

Category: Mobile Applications

Platform: Google Play Store

Core Tech: Android, Mobile App, Google Play

Project Overview

Andalus Packer is an Android logistics and fulfillment mobile application available on the Google Play Store. Built for warehouse and packing staff, the app turns any Android device into a reliable packing terminal. Staff members scan order barcodes, verify individual item quantities against customer packing slips, eliminate shipping mistakes, and confirm parcel readiness for dispatch in real time.

Project Goals

Develop an internal operations mobile app for warehouse staff with fast barcode scanning, validation against live database order queues, and error prevention before shipment handoff.

The Challenge

Warehouse environments require instant, zero-delay barcode detection and clear visual and audio feedback so packers can operate with speed and accuracy under demanding shifts.

How I Approached It

Integrated high-speed camera barcode scanning, visual item checklists with green/red verification states, warning alerts on incorrect items, and instant sync with central warehouse dispatch systems.

How It Was Built

Warehouse floor workflow study -> Scanner UI ergonomics -> Barcode validation engine -> API sync & offline resilience -> Google Play Store publication.

The Results

Successfully released on Google Play (com.andalus.packer), dramatically reducing packing errors, speeding up parcel dispatch times, and ensuring accurate shipments.
